Quartz was officially a wonderful Human. She'd known that anyway - all Humans were wonderful, really - but he was extra-special. He'd said that she was very nice, after she'd kicked him and got him all wet. Faye smiled at him happily. He was sure that she'd manage being a Faerie as well! Lying if you were making someone feel good was allowed, right? She hoped so, because otherwise she'd have to tell Quartz that he was breaking rules and that' d be bad.
When he offered to help her she was almost speechless with joy. Almost, but not quite. After a few seconds of staring at him, she managed to squeak out a 'thank you', wondering how he wasn't already a Faerie because he was so lovely. " It's fine, bye! " She sat where she was for a moment, smiling happily into the air, before she stood up. What could she do to say thank you, properly? Draw him a picture? She thought of the painting she'd planned earlier, and bit her lip. No, it wasn't special enough. It needed...something more. She'd do a painting of him as a Faerie, but she didn't know what sort he wanted to be, if he did want to be one. Of course he did; who didn't? Aside fromidiots slightly odd people.
As she headed back to her dorm, she decided that she'd paint the picture of the meadow, at night, and she'd include Quartz in the background. Subtly, so he wouldn't think that she was forcing him to be a Faerie. It'd make it that little bit more special if she knew it was in there though, even if he didn't notice. As soon as she got back to her dorm, she began to sketch the picture out on a fresh sheet of paper in her sketchpad. It would be fairly big; maybe an average sized canvas...or should it be less? Or more? She began biting her lip. What if she did it wrong? And then he'd hate her... Faye looked at the quick sketch she'd made, and ripped it out. It wasn't good enough.
