Cody checked his watch before turning back to marking the work that lay in front of him; a piece of homework belonging to one of his learning-disabled students. Apparently, the young lady still hadn't mastered the concept of writing. Or listening when he tried to help her. Well, he'd worked with worse kids before. She was just...irritating, really. Sighing, he tried to turn his mind away from how annoying his kids were, and instead concentrated on formulating his next lesson plan, and a nice way to explain what exactly she'd done wrong (everything, seeing as she hadn't even completed the right exercise on the sheet he'd given her) and how she could do better. And how she could drive him less insane.
As he checked his watch again - not out of boredom, just out of curiosity - he noticed that it was almost time for his next patient; or patients. Their teachers had reported certain..gaps in their knowledge. Chasms was a better word than gaps, really. They could barely add; it was going to be interesting assessing them. He'd decided not to test their IQ's - the kids were always disappointed by their results, which wasn't encouraging - but was just going to ask them how they thought school was going for them, and if they wanted any extra tuition. It'd be interesting tutoring someone who didn't speak, though. And hopefully, they'd both say yes to wanting extra help, seeing as it had already been arranged for both of them.
His door was open, as usual, and Cody glanced up to see two teens standing in the doorway. He'd mentioned that he needed to see both of them during the music class, and was glad they'd actually come, rather than waiting for security to drag them over. That always made things so much more awkward, he'd found. Smiling at the two, he beckoned them into the bright, welcoming room. It was still half-unpacked, but his plastic frog - that he'd named Mercedes - was on the left of his desk, facing towards the two chairs where the twins would hopefully sit. " Hey, my names Cody, and I've heard you're having some school trouble? " No beating around the bush for him.
