Faye decided that if she didn't open her eyes, if she simply snuggled deeper under her blanket, the calender wouldn't say October 31st, the day marked on her home-made calender with a large red cross. No, it would say November 1st; the 31st would have been skipped, like a leap year. Did that happen? Hoping very much that it was true, she opened one eye slowly, seeing all the days up to October 31st were crossed off. Which meant...
With a shriek, she dived out of bed, rolling underneath and pulling her blankets with her. They formed a cushion around her, making the floor surprisingly comfortable. Faye vowed to stay put, wedged underneath the wooden slats. If she didn't move all day, maybe the Demons would leave her alone... There was a sudden shrill ringing coming from across the room, eliciting a muffled scream of horror from beneath the bed. When the noise stopped, Faye remained curled up in a small ball, crying quietly. It was probably a Demon that was going to kill her and take her to Hell and...oh. As she remembered why that sound was familiar -an alarm clock- she blushed, brushing away the mild panic attack as nerves. Gingerly, Faye peeked her head out from under the bed, looking up at her roommate. "It's Sabbat, you know," she whispered. "Evil is everywhere today. There are no Faeries. Not a single one. And Demons are going to kill us so they can take us to Hell..."
Would it help the other girls if they hid under their beds as well? Maybe they could have a party, all under one bed. They could do spells to get rid of the Evil! Laila would be very proud of her... "We can do Magic, if you want, to try and protect everything. If you want." She smiled eagerly. True, they had Art, but it was better to miss Art once then get eaten by a Demon.
